Founded in 1836. The university was constituted by royal charter in 1836 as a body empowered to grant degrees to students of approved institutions after examination. In 1900 the university was reconstituted: institutions were admitted as schools of the university and it thus became a teaching as well as an examining university. It is now a federation of the University and the Colleges and institutes. While all the Colleges of the University are entitled to teach for and award degrees of the University of London, some of the Colleges now award their own degrees.

جزئیات پذیرش: Minimum for undergraduate degrees is two subjects at GCE ‘A’ level, plus at least three further subjects at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level at grade C or above. Other qualifications both from the UK and rest of the world are also accepted for University of London International Programmes distance learning courses.
